Thanks to the experience and creativity of its engineering and design departments, Cibié produces a range of products with a reputation for quality, reliability and performance.
At the early stages of product creation, computer-aided designers and draftsmen are the first to develop the new concepts.
A project team, consisting of various project members (project manager, designer, engineer, process engineer, buyer, quality specialist, salesperson, etc.), establishes precise specifications which determine the functions and performance levels expected from the new product.
On the basis of these specifications, the designer creates a three-dimensional computer-generated image which produces a highly realistic impression of the future product.
Each product part is modeled, from the reflector through to the glass. These models are of particular importance since they can then be used to carry out light quality and performance simulations.
After the various simulations have been carried out, the models are used to draft the design plans for manufacturing the different injection molds (for plastic parts) and establishing specific tool requirements (sheet stamping for manufacturing Cibié Oscar lamps for example).
Different techniques can then be used to create prototypes, in particular rapid prototyping. Single parts can thus be created using a liquid resin bath which is solidified by a computer-controlled laser, in accordance with the plans drafted using the models.
The advantage of this process is that prototypes are created in a short space of time and can then be used for full-size testing and validation of the end product.
The project managermonitors and controls all the different stages and acts as a veritable coordinator and catalyst for the smooth running of the project.
Thanks to the innovation and creativity of its engineers, Cibié has earned the confidence of its customers, whether they are tuners and Cibié tuning headlamp enthusiasts, champion rally drivers or those using auxiliary lamps, such as the famous Cibié Oscar lamps.
